A distinctive mid-century bamboo and rattan wall mirror, attributed to the Italian designer Franco Albini and dating from the 1960s. Crafted from curved bamboo and woven rattan, the design reflects the period’s focus on natural materials and skilled handwork.
The rectangular mirror is framed within a double structure of bent bamboo, accented with decorative rattan and wicker elements that form heart-shaped motifs along the border. The contrast between the smooth bamboo curves, woven detailing, and mirrored glass gives the piece strong textural interest.
Condition is good vintage condition. The mirror plate shows areas of foxing consistent with age. The glass is slightly loose within the frame, though it remains secure and fully functional when hung. There are also paint marks to the frame, visible when displayed. A small split is present to the backing, and there is a mark to the lower right-hand corner of the mirror plate. None of these issues detract from the overall appearance.
