A beautiful mid-century oil on canvas painting, signed Rob. Andersson and dated 1947, distinguished by its wonderfully muted palette of soft pastel tones. Delicate layers of colour create a gentle, atmospheric composition, lending the work a sense of quiet depth and tranquillity.
The painting is presented in its original green wooden frame with a silver inner slip, a combination that perfectly complements the subtle tones of the artwork. The frame has a lovely presence of its own and forms an integral part of the piece's overall appeal.
Condition is very good for its age. There is a small area of canvas lift, visible only upon close inspection. The original frame has a minor scratch, which can be seen in the photographs. Neither detracts from the overall presentation of this lovely piece.
