A stunning set of three graduated candlesticks designed by Danish designer Hugo Asmussen for Design Asmussen, dating from the 1970s.
The three candlesticks each have the same elegant, sculptural form, with a series of rounded drops narrowing into a slender waist and finished with a simple circular base. They are beautifully weighty in the hand, giving them a lovely sense of quality and presence. The graduated heights make them particularly striking displayed together.
The bases are marked Design Asmussen, Gold-Plated, 24 Carat, Made in Denmark. Originally produced with a 24-carat gold finish, this particular set has developed an unusual silvery appearance over time as the original plating has worn away. I've not come across this design in this finish before, and the result is rather wonderful - the polished silver-toned surface gives the candlesticks a more contemporary feel than their original gold finish.

On occasion, a piece may not be the perfect fit. If so, please provide notice as soon as possible. Items may be returned within 7 days of receipt, as long as they are sent back in their original condition. Once safely returned, a refund will be arranged (excluding shipping costs).
